the Gospel Rose began with a felt need and a desire to see it addressed, seeking God for His Will and direction, God birthed a vision in our founder Manuel to leverage technology to share the gospel with a demographic that was being overlooked by the church: young people, unsaved, without hope in the world amid a postmodern wave of devalued existence. This issue being compounded by a heavy population of nominal Catholicism and unbelieving parents it was clear that we had a generation being written off.

The vision was straightforward: to declare the Gospel and exalt the Lord Jesus Christ so that He might draw all people to Himself. Our message is timeless, as old as Adam, but our approach is innovative. By utilizing our small tissue paper roses and harnessing technology through QR codes, we provide a brief yet clear presentation of the Gospel in a loving and gracious manner, without compromising the essence of the message.

The local Churches were hyper fixated on the homeless issue and it seemed as if everyone had a hand in feeding and clothing ministries, but no one was focusing on the young people or evangelism in general.

Initially, the roses were utilized for sidewalk evangelism, where we met strangers to share God’s truth with them. Before long, dedicated brothers and sisters recognized their value and began asking for some to use in their own evangelistic efforts while also joining our mission. We soon expanded our outreach by visiting local high schools, distributing the roses in student parking lots, as well as at malls, busy intersections, parks—essentially anywhere people gather.

Over time, the project evolved, leading to the creation of a system that allows it to be easily implemented as a small group ministry within local churches. This involved coming into congregations and training groups of men and women to produce roses for their outreach efforts. The initiative aimed to cultivate fellowship and unity in service centered around the Gospel. Our initial effort proved successful, with the church we trained distributing over 500 roses in just one weekend, along with many more throughout that year.

Throughout this journey, we frequently contemplated what the next steps would be for The Gospel Rose. After reflecting on a new idea aimed at expanding our reach and usefulness, and through prayerful consideration and patience in seeking the Lord’s guidance, a promising approach is emerging that will allow us to connect with more people, touch additional lives, and create a greater impact for the Kingdom of God.

Seeking out faithful brethren in impoverished circumstances, we train them to make the roses, building bridges internationally and opening a wide door for effective work through a bilateral mission where many hands engage in the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In this way, we can secure the financial stability of our brethren who are laboring to spread the Gospel. This model creates a truly self-sustainable mission where both parties serve each other and participate in the Great Commission.

Through the providence of God doors of opportunity have been opened in Ghana, Africa and the Gospel Rose is establishing its presence in the country.
